The Embassy of India, Bangkok, in association with the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), organized an event on 21st January, 2015 at Indian Culture Centre, Bangkok to promote the “INDIASOFT 2015 - International IT Exhibition & Conference” to be held in New Delhi from 12-13 February, 2015. The event was attended by representatives from Thai IT companies and relevant industry associations. Mr. Nalin Kohli, Past Chairman, ESC and Chairman, Organizing Committee of INDIASOFT delivered the introductory address which was followed by a detailed presentation by Mr. D. K. Sareen, Executive Director, ESC, on INDIASOFT where he explained the opportunities and incentives available for the participants from Thailand under Hosted Buyers Programme. Mr. Vinod Sharma, Chairman ESC also addressed the participants and elaborated on the IT sector in India. The participants were also informed about the website of the event to get more information on INDIASOFT. Ambassador of India, Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla addressed the gathering and encouraged the Thai companies to use this excellent opportunity for gaining exposure to the huge IT market in India. In his address, the Deputy Chief of Mission informed that the Visa on Arrival facility launched by Government of India for Thai nationals included visits for business meetings and conferences and assured Thai companies of full cooperation by the Embassy to facilitate their participation in this event.
