The “Faces of the BRICS” Photography Exhibition showcasing the diverse natural and cultural heritage of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, was inaugurated at the Bangkok Arts and Cultural Centre on 21st May 2015. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Noppadon Theppitak, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Royal Kingdom of Thailand, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, Permanent Secretary for Culture, Royal Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Gilberto Fonseca Guimaraes de Moura, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Thailand, Mr. Kirill Mikailovitch Barsky, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand, Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Thailand, Mr. Ning Fukui, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand and Mrs. Robina P. Marks, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Thailand, in a glittering ceremony. The Exhibition consists of five photographs of common people and five landscapes/landmarks of each of the countries. The history of the BRICS mechanism and its achievements have also been highlighted in the exhibition.
