Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted an audience to Mr. Satish Mehta, Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations on 20 August 2015 at Chitralada Palace. Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Mr. G. Balasubramanian, Deputy Chief of Mission accompanied DG, ICCR. Mr. Mehta thanked Her Royal Highness for her consistent support to cultural cooperation between India and Thailand; the Festival of India in Thailand, 2015; and patronage of the World Sanskrit Conference in Bangkok in June 2015. He also apprised Her Royal Highness of the various activities that the Government of India, through the Indian Cultural Centre, Embassy of India in Bangkok undertake to further strengthen people to people contacts and the traditional friendly relations between India and Thailand.
