An evening of devotional music by Shri. Rakesh Srivastava and group sponsored by ICCR was held at Vishnu Mandir and Geeta Ashram. The music was greatly appreciated by both the Indian and Thai community.

Shri Rakesh Srivastav is the son of famous Bhojpuri singer Mrs. Mainawati Devi Srivastava. The magic of Rakesh\'s voice is the result of his dedicated nature, hard work and passion for music. Mr. Srivastava has achieved high popularity within very less time which no doubt is the result of

his hard work. He has received many awards:

Best Singer in 1992 at Purvanchal Mahotsav, Best Music Director in 1994, best singer at Patna by the Honourable Minister of Bihar, Bhojpuri Navratna Award by Yogi Adityanath M.P .Bhojpuri Vibhooti Award 2005 by Pd. Krishan Maharaj to name a few.
