The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers scholarships under the General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (except medical courses) and research at Indian universities, and ICCR Scholarship Scheme to learn Indian music, dance, painting, sculpting, etc.

GENERAL CULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (GCSS)

Scholarships are offered to Thai students desirous of pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. studies in various courses in Indian universities, excluding the fields of medicine and dentistry.

 

(The living allowance, contingent grant, tuition fees, accommodation and medical expenses of the GCSS scholars are borne by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Government of India. However, for Science Courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the scholars.)

MEKONG-GANGA COOPERATION SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (MGC)

Scholarships are offered to students of Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC) member countries desirous of studying undergraduate and postgraduate courses in culture-related subjects, such as ancient history of Mekong-Ganga Cooperation countries and Buddhism, Sanskrit, Pali, dance, preservation of manuscripts, archaeology, handicrafts, museology, etc. including in the area of contemporary relevance such as IT and vocational training in Indian universities can apply for scholarships under this scheme.

 

(Terms and conditions are the same as in GCSS. Besides, return economy class international airfare and 3rd class AC train fare to the place of study are also provided to scholars under this scheme.)

IOR-ARC Scholarship Scheme

Scholarships are offered to Thai students for Post-Graduate courses only in various courses excluding medicine and dentistry.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR COURSES IN TRADITIONAL SYSTEMS OF MEDICINE (AYUSH)

Scholarships are offered to students of BIMSTEC countries for undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. courses in traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.

 

(Terms and Conditions are the same as in GCSS and CEP)
