Embassy of India, Bangkok in collaboration with Thammasat University, organised the World Hindi Day at Pridi Banomyong International College in Bangkok on 30 January 2019. Ambassador Suchitra Durai read out Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message on the occasion. Dr. Nitinant Wisaweisuan, Dean of Pridi Banomyong International College, Thammasat University and Assoc. Prof Gasinee Witoonchart, Rector of Thammasat University spoke on the occasion. The cultural programme included performances from Volunteers of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Bangkok and recitation of poetry, songs, and dances from students of SVCC.

Mrs. Suchitra Durai, Ambassador of India to Thailand unfurled the national tricolour and read out the President's message to the nation. This was followed by a cultural programme where school children and other groups sang patriotic songs. Members of the Indian community, officials of the Embassy and friends of India attended the ceremony.
