Flag hoisting ceremony on 73rd Independence Day

The 73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated on 15 August 2018 at the Embassy of India, Bangkok with great enthusiasm. Ambassador Suchitra Durai unfurled the national tricolour. Singing of the national anthem was followed by the Ambassador reading out the President's Address to the Nation. Students from Modern International School of Bangkok and members of the Maharashtra Mandal sang patriotic songs and a member of the North East Indian Association recited a patriotic poem. Around 450 people, including members of the Indian community and the Embassy of India, together with their families and friends of India among Thai nationals, attended the event.
