The Embassy of India, Bangkok in association with Sathira Bhammasathan Foundation, Bangkok organized International Quiz on Buddhism on 10 November 2022. Around 150 young students from various schools from Bangkok and near by provinces participated in the quiz. All students were divided in 12 teams.

Ms. Saisampan Panyasiri, President of the Sathira-Dhammasathan Foundation and Mr. Kesang Wangdi, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Bangkok delivered the welcome remarks and highlighted the century old cultural and religious connect between India and Thailand. After the welcome remarks two videos on Buddism namely “Lotus Trail - India's Buddhist Linkages with South-East Asia and East Asia countries” produced by Ministry of External Affairs and “India - The Land of Buddha” by Incredible India were screened. Prof. Sanjay Barua Choudhury, Professor of Budddhist Philosophy at Thammasat University briefed the students on Buddhism.

Three winning teams were felicitated with the gift hampers and certificates. Other participants also received certificate of participation and a token gift. The event also marked the commemoration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relation between India and Thailand.
