Republic Day 2016 celebrations in Bangkok

Republic Day of India was celebrated on 26 January 2016 in Bangkok with enthusiasm. H. E. Mr. Bhagwant Singh Bishnoi, who assumed the post of Ambassador of India to Thailand earlier this week, unfurled the national tricolour at the Embassy premises. Students from schools and other vocal singers sung national anthem and patriotic songs. The Ambassador read out the President's Address to the Nation. Various Indian associations collaborated to put a cultural performance on the occasion. Around 550 people, including members of the Indian community and the Embassy of India, together with their families and friends of India among Thai nationals, attended the event.
