INVITATION TO TENDER

1. The Ambassador of India, Bangkok for and on behalf of President of India, invites lump-sum tenders from reputed contractors registered for undertaking works in Thailand for Renovation of Chancery, Embassy of India, Bangkok with period of completion of 303 calendar days.

2. Contractors who fulfil the following requirements shall be eligible to apply. These criteria are indicative. Exact details are available in tender documents.

  1. Should have satisfactorily completed three similar workseach costing not less than Baht 12,800,000.00 or completed two similar works each costing not less than Baht 19,200,000.00 or one similar work costing not less than Baht 25,600,00.00 during the last seven years ending previous day of last date of submission of tenders. The above costing is excluding VAT.
  2. Should have an average annual financial turn-over of Baht 16,000,000.00 (excluding VAT) on construction works during the immediate last three consecutive financial years.
  3. Should not have incurred loss in more than two years during the last five consecutive financial years.
  4. Should have bank solvency of Baht 12,800,000.00.
  5. JV firms formed specifically for this tender shall not be permitted.

Against a non-refundable payment (Cheque only) of Baht 1,000. Cheques shall be drawn in favour of “Embassy of India, Bangkok”. Date & Time of purchase the tender documents will be on September 1, 2016 until September 14, 2016 up to 4.00 PM.

4. A pre-bid meeting will be held in Embassy of India, Bangkok on September 15, 2016 at 10.00 AM.

5. Tender Security /EMD: The Tenderer must submit with his Tender the Tender Security / Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)/Tender Bond in the sum of Baht 650,000.00. EMD/Tender Bond shall be acceptable by bank transfer/bank draft/pay order in favour of Head of Chancery. Embassy of India, Bangkok or bank guarantee. The other terms and conditions related with the EMD/Tender Bond shall remain same as mentioned in the tender document.
The tender security /EMD /Tender Bond shall remain valid for a period of One Hundred Eighty (180) days from last date of submission of tender. Any tender received without EMD will be summarily rejected.

6. Tender document supported with prescribed annexures should be submitted in sealed envelope, duly superscribed with the name of work and the date of opening. The document will be received up to 3.00 PM on October 3, 2016 at Embassy of India, Bangkokand technical bids will be opened on the same day at 3.30 PM.

7. If any information furnished by the applicant is found incorrect at a later stage, he/she shall be liable to be debarred from the tendering process. The Embassy of India, Bangkok reserves its right to verity the particulars furnished by the applicant independently.

8. The Embassy of India, Bangkok reserves the right to reject any prospective applicant without assigning any reason and to restrict the list of pre-qualified contractors to number deemed suitable by it.
