Dr. Olarn Chaipravat, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Thailand and President of Thai Trade Representatives delivered a keynote address at the Investment Roundtable on the theme of "Investment Opportunities in India" on 19 March 2013. The roundtable was organized by Embassy of India, Bangkok and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India, in association with the Board of Investment of Thailand and was attended by close to 100 Thai businessmen.

Ambassador of India to Thailand Anil Wadhwa and Ambassador of Thailand to India Pisan Manawapat in their remarks, highlighted progress in bilateral economic and commercial ties and investment opportunities in India. Mr. Talleen Kumar, Joint Secretary from Ministry of Commerce of India gave a detailed presentation on Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, E-Biz Initiative & National Manufacturing Policy. Dr. Anupam Srivastava of 'Invest India' outlined the services ‘Invest-India’ had to offer to Thai investor and opportunities in India.

Senior representatives of public and private sectors including Mr. G. Bhujbal, Economic Advisor, Ministry of Food Processing Industries of India, GMR Group, Grant Thornton and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) of India made presentations on incentives available in India to investors in the food processing, auto components and infrastructure, which were the focus areas of the seminar.
