73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated at the Embassy of India, Bangkok on 15 August 2019 with ususal fervour and in the spirit of harmony. The national flag was unfurled by Ambassdor of India to Thailand, H.E. Ms. Suchitra Durai followed by singing of the Indian National Anthem. Ambassador Durai also read out the Hon’ble President’s Address to the Nation. A cultural programmme by the Modern International School of Bangkok, Maharashtra  Mandal and North East Indian Association were also organised on the occasion.

The celebrations were attended by around 450 Indian nationals, overseas Indians and friends of India. Members of various associations representing all parts of India participated enthusiastically. Students from Srinakarinwirot University also attended the function.
