India also offers scholarships to Thai nationals through its Embassy in Bangkok. Every academic year, both long and short term scholarships are offered, details of which are given below:-

INDIAN TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION PROGRAMME (ITEC)

This Programme was launched in 1964 as a bilateral programme of assistance of the Government of India. The slots are offered to Thai officials for the short term training courses in Indian Institutes. The candidates are selected and nominated by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Thai Government.

Scholarships are offered to Thai students desirous of pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. studies in various courses in Indian universities, excluding the fields of medicine, paramedicine and dentistry.

MEKONG-GANGA COOPERATION SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (MGC)

Scholarships are offered to students of Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC) member countries desirous of studying undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. courses in Indian universities in various fields, excluding medicine, paramedicine and dentistry.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME/

EDUCATION EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (CEP/EEP)

Under this scheme, scholarships are offered to Thai students for pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses, excluding medicine, paramedicine and dentistry, in Indian universities.

AYUSH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

 

 

Scholarships are provided to Thai students to pursue courses at degree levels in Indian traditional medical system such as Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.

30 slots for all BIMSTEC countries & 29 slots for all South East Asian Region countries

ICCR SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR STUDIES IN INDIAN CULTURE

Slots are offered to students worldwide for pursuing courses in Indian dance, music, performing arts, yoga theatre, sculpture, Indian cuisine, etc. in Indian universities/ institutes.
